Kidlington will look to bounce back from Saturdays defeat at Thame United in our rearranged fixture with AFC Dunstable. This game was due to be played back in January but unfortunately was postponed by the match officials after just one look at the pitch due to the weather conditions.

Until Saturdays defeat Kidlington had been on a bit of a run having only lost two of our last ten games in the league. During this time Kidlington took points of two promotion hopefuls in Welwyn Garden City and Berkhamsted with both games ending in 1-1 draws, whilst taking three wins against; Colney Heath, Wantage Town and Barton Rovers. Unfortunately Kidlington narrowly lost to Biggleswade FC 3-2 in a great game at Yarnton Road, but were also blown away 7-0 by North Leigh who sit just one point of the playoffs currently. We drew with; Waltham Abbey, Kempston Rovers, Didcot Town and also Welwyn Garden City and Berkhamsted which was mentioned earlier. Although losing last time out on Saturday our league position hasn't changed as we stay in 16th place, with 24 points on the board after 26 games played and we still sit one point clear of 17th placed Hertford Town and 18th placed Kempston Rovers, with both sides playing one more game than us. Just above Kidlington in 15th are Barton Rovers who sit on 27 points.

Thoughts From Ben Sadler:
Another tough away game, against a well organised side with an effective and clear style of play. Midweek away games in this league are never easy and we will freshen it up and make changes from Saturdays defeat at Thame. Saturday we deserved to lose as we gave away silly goals, but we did cause Thame problems and it's important we are positive and get on the front foot and look to score the first goal.COYGs

Our host's tomorrow AFC Dunstable come into the game on a good run, having won three of their last five games. Although all three wins have come against teams in the bottom half of the table. Also in the last five games they played out at 0-0 with currently bottom of the table Wantage Town, their other draw was a 2-2 draw against fellow promotion hopefuls North Leigh. Within AFC Dunstable squad they have Bernard Christie who is currently join top of the golden boot race with 19 goals in the league, alongside Jermaine Howe of Bedford Town. Also AFC Dunstable haven't lost at home in the last five games with four wins and one draw.

Head to Head:
Kidlington have never lost to AFC Dunstable with a total of five games being played between the two sides. Earlier in the season when we welcomed AFC Dunstable to Yarnton Road the games ended in a 1-1 draw with Stephen Robertson grabbing Kidlington goal in the 77 minute just 10 mins after Dunstable took the lead. Back in 2020 Kidlington did the double of AFC Dunstable with the first game on the 12/02/2020 ending with a 2-1 win for Kidlington goals from Stephen Robertson and Tobias London. The second games just being played weeks later on the 07/03/2020, this game ended in a 3-0 win for Kidlington with goals from Stephen Robertson and Jacob Davidge (x2). The previous season both games ended in draws with a 1-1 and 0-0 draw being played out.
