This evening the 1st Team travel to Winchester City FC for a Evo-Stik League South West match, k.o. 7:45pm.....read on

The Greens had to settle for a share of the points in their first league game against Yate Town at Yarnton Road Stadium on Saturday, but will be striving to go one better at the home of the Citizens on Tuesday evening.

Kidlington were 2 - 1 down against Yate on Saturday but went on an all out offensive against the West country outfit in the second half. Although a goal was not immediately forthcoming they stuck to the task and when Anaclet Odhiambo was upended in the penalty area Lewis Coyle was able to convert from the resultant spot kick. Late in the game Kidlington had chances to win it but some excellent defending from the visitors kept The Greens at bay.

The Winchester had an excellent start to their season winning 4 - 2 at Shortwood United, so this is likely to be a very tough test for Kidlington early in the season.

For the trip to Winchester Kidlington will have Lewis Gabbidon and Lance Williams back in the squad whilst Mark Bell who had to come off after scoring Kidlington's first goal against Yate will face a late fitness test.

For those traveling here's the address and postcode - The Simplyhealth City Ground, Hillier Way, Abbots Barton, Winchester Hampshire SO23 7SR

Squad for Tuesday -
Sam Warrell, Eddie Odhiambo, Tommy Castle, James Organ, Tom Franklin, Ben Brown, Ben Willoughby, Declan Benjamin, Josh Tooke, Callum Harvey, Eric Odhiambo, Mark Bell, Lewis Coyle, Anaclet Odhiambo, Lewis Gabbidon & Lance Williams.
