Following on from our Club post yesterday and the resignation of our Manager Brad Chalmers.

I have known Brad for many years, and fully respect his decision to step back. Family should always come first.

It was a unanimous committee decision last April to ask Brad to step up and be first team manager. He was starting more or less from scratch after our relegation. We set him a task, to stabilise our position, be competitive, aim to finish in the top half of the table. He has done all those things!! We have been in the top half all season, we had a reasonable run in the FA Vase. The team we lost to are in the semi final. We got to the quarter final
Of the league cup and we are in the Semi Final of the OFA Senior Cup. As a Chairman, in my first season, I cannot ask for more than that.

Brad, is popular in the Club, and the players, a young squad have got up and played for him, the whole team including the staff have reacted to his excellent leadership!!

Personally, we have become great friends, and I enjoy the banter. I look forward to seeing him in the Club in the future, and to meeting all the new family.
