We spoke with Pete ahead of this:
"It is a return to a football club to whom I have a lot of affection having previously been 1st team manager around 35 years ago. It’s great to be back involved with the club especially all the old faces from those previous days.

"It is an opportunity to help the club, Brad and all the coaches, committee, players and supporters to improve their football standing within the respective competitions by analysing opponents, checking potential new players and offering advice when required.

"Lastly having worked with Brad previously when he played at Wallingford ( I made him skipper of club when he was a teenager) and Milton and latterly when he was player/coach at Abingdon United, therefore I better than most know his potential and qualities so to work alongside him was a no brainer.

"So to team up with him and his management team to assist the club in its future plans and success just had to be done, so let’s go for it all together.
