The 1st Team lost 1 - 0 in an Evo-Stik League match at Bristol Manor Farm this Saturday........here's the Report

Despite an excellent team performance Kidlngton slipped to a 1-0 defeat in Bristol as the west country side Bristol Manor Farm completed a League double over the Greens. However, this could have been so different, if Kidlington, who dominated the first half could have turned their 80% possession into clear cut chances.

Sam Warrell in the Kidlington goal was a virtual bystander as the Greens played all the football but failed to trouble his counter part in the home goal. Long range efforts from Lewis Coyle, Darius Browne and Lance Williams went close but that's as near as Kidlington got to scoring. At the start of the second half it was more of the same in the opening exchanges, however the deadlock was broken when The Farm scored on 54 minutes with their only clear cut chance of the game. A long ball forward evaded center back Ben Brown leaving Troy Simpson with a clear run on goal and a powerful shot under the body of Warrell found the center of the goal. Understandably after this goal Bristol now enjoyed there best spell of the match, but Elliot Osbourn-Ricketts, returning from a four match suspension, soon got The Greens going again as the visitors went in search of an equaliser. Manager Julian MaCalmon shuffled his pack introducing Duran Martin, Mark Bell and Eddie Odihambo in an effort to find that spark and it so nearly worked when Mark Bell found himself 25 yards out and let fly with a screamer, the ball smashed against the bar in the last few minutes of the game. This was as close as The Greens came to scoring as the well organised Bristol team were able to see out the remaining minutes without incident.
