Match Report
Kidlington started the evening quick, with Lewis Middleton having the license to deliver two balls into the AFC Dunstable box, with one arriving at John Dennis’ feet but he unfortunately scuffed the shot.
Another similar chance happened 6 minutes later with Alex Costa receiving the ball on the edge of the AFC Dunstable box, but he couldn’t get the best connection with the ball.
Our chances didn’t stop there as Sam Jenkins and Lewis Middleton both had shots saved by Seb Stacey in the AFC Dunstable net. Another volley from Alex Costa just went wide of the post too.
However, against the run of play, Sean Duodu ran through the Kidlington defence and slotted the ball past Charlie Barnett.
Sean Duodu didn’t stop there with him having a strike from outside the box, that Charlie Barnett tipped over the bar.
The Fourth Official added 2 minutes and at the end of that period, Fraser Allen chased down Seb Stacey and his clearance smashed off Fraser Allen which resulted in the ball just going wide of the goal and out for a goal kick.
Kidlington couldn’t of asked for a better second half start as a cross from Cheyce Grant would be flapped at by Seb Stacey, with the ball landing at the feet of John Dennis who converted to get us level.
In the 68th minute, AFC Dunstable would counter quickly and have a four on one with Sean Duodu running through at Charlie Barnett. The Kidlington keeper stuck a leg out and denied him of a second.
3 minutes later, Cheyce Grant would have a golden opportunity as he danced through the AFC Dunstable defence, unfortunately, his shot went wide of the post.
In the 85th minute, a brilliant run from Max Rosner would split open the Kidlington defence. Rosner was able to nick the ball on to Bruce Ovbiye, and he curled the ball into the Kidlington net.
The Fourth Official then indicated 5 minutes of added time, and at the end of that period; Hamza Al Jabari would see himself sent off as he dragged Sean Duodu down, denying the AFC Dunstable attacker an open goal. Shortly after the referee would blow for full time and which would result in another Kidlington defeat.
