With the all the excitement of the FA Cup around at the moment it's quite easy to lose track of what's going on but I'm sure Wilky will be keeping the players on track.
Tonight we face an Abingdon side that have had a terrible start to their season. In August They were getting beaten every game but as we have moved into September results have picked up for them.
Their last two outings, both away from home have seen them record a terrific 5 - 1 win against Ardley United and a very creditable draw 1 - 1 draw with Brimscombe & Thrupp.
Of course we will travel there full of confidence after our own fantastic win against Godalming Town but I'm sure Wilky will be warning the players against complacency. Just as a reminder of this after our FA Cup win in the round before against Chertsey Town we travelled to Oxford City Nomads on the Monday and put in a very mediocre performance and were beaten 2 - 0.
Tonight Wilky and the players will want to get back to winning ways in this league game as we have fallen behind slightly in games played which has seen us drop to mid-table, though a win tonight could see us back up in the top 6.
We are travelling to Abingdon with a strong squad with Ben Weedon available again after missing out on Saturday. Tristian Laurence picked up a knock at Godalming and is left out whilst Jack Quainton is unavailable. Ryan Brooks is still injured and Eric Odhiambo serves the second match of his 3 match ban.
For supporters wishing to travel here's the address Northcourt Stadium, Northcourt Road, Abingdon, Oxon. OX14 1PL
