With a list on unavailable players as long as your arm Kidlington entertained the league leaders at Yarnton Road with two debutantes in the squad, Duran Martin starting and Roger James on the bench.
Kidlington then proceeded to take the lead in the 7th minute when Darius Browne converted an Anaclet Odhiambo cross after Mark janes had done the spade work.
Kidlington kept the pressure on the visitors and should have gone further ahead when a Mark Bell shot was deflected onto the crossbar, it then fell invitingly for Odhiambo and it looked an open goal, but some how a defender managed to deflect Odhiambo's shot round the post for a corner.
In the 22nd minute Taunton equilised, a high ball into the box wasn't defended and skipper Matt Wright headed home.
After the break Kidlington were again the team taking control and when Odhiambo was inadvertently played in on goal by a misplaced back pass the little striker should have scored however he shot weakly and keeper Lloyde Irish saved it.
On 58 minutes Kidlington keeper Bojan Tetek made a good save after a breakaway from Taunton diving to palm a goal bound shot from Ollie Chamberlin away from goal.
Just after this action Taunton were awarded a penalty for an alleged push. Ross Staley took it but Tetek saved it with his legs.
The game now was end to end and it was the visitors who took the lead. Once again it was Wright who found the net with a bullet header from a corner kick taken by Ryan Brett for 2 - 1 in the 72nd minute.
After this goal Taunton dropped off the pace as Kidlington stormed forward. A Tommy Castle shot hit the bar before Anaclet Odhiambo fired in the quiliser at the far post from a Roger James cross.
We played 8 minutes of added time during which Kidlington's Ben Willoughby was shown a second yellow card, but neither side could muster a winner.
