With pre-season now over and ending on a high with a 6-1 victory over Chipping Sodbury at Yarnton Road, we now pack our bags and head to Gloucestershire to take on Lydney Town. This isn't the first time we have played Lydney in fact the last time we travelled to the Gloucestershire based side, was in 2016 as we were crowned Hellenic League
Premier Division champions 2015–16 with a 2-1 victory on the day, goals coming from Ryan Brooks and Kristian Thomas on the day.

Our host for tomorrow finished 16th last seasons in the Hellenic League
Premier Division and started their 2022-2023 campaign with a draw on Wednesday night against fellow Gloucestershire side Longlevens AFC

We spoke to joint manger Ben Sadler to gather his thoughts head of tomorrow game, he had this to say "Looking forward to the game at Lydney. We were able to watch them Wednesday night and it is going to be a very tough, even game.

Tomorrow is a good opportunity to progress, and we must go there and express ourselves. Up to 8 players could make their debuts tomorrow, and I am looking forward to seeing this group of players perform."
